I know how painful periods can be from having stage 4 endometriosis. Christmas seemed to exacerbate the pain further so here are some products that I’ve found helpful:
You must be sick of me talking about it now but it genuinely worked! It’s currently helping with my back pain following my hysterectomy.
I would sometimes wear 2 of these are the same time (one on my lower back, and the other on my bladder), especially when I had to travel in to the office.
TENS machine
TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) emits mild electrical currents to relieve pain. This is done through adhesive electrodes that you attach to the areas where you're experiencing the most pain. In my case, I would attach them to my lower back. There are a lot of TENS machines on the market e.g. at Boots and Argos. I would recommend shoppind around. I use the Elle Body Clock Babycare one (from Amazon) developed for women in labour. Yes, it’s marketed for women in labour but was only just strong enough for my severe period cramps!
Heated throw:
This blanket is so useful, not just when I'm in pain and unwell but for keeping me warm when I'm working from home. I currently use this one from Dreams but there is a good selection on the market.
