Career History
June 2023 onwards
2017 - 2023
Business Analyst
-
I needed to take time off to deal with some extremely painful health issues including stage 4 endometriosis, adenomyosis and fibroids.
-
I worked with stakeholders at different levels to elicit and document requirements, and through user acceptance testing.
-
I have experience of using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) to process map in Microsoft Visio and Skore.
-
I am experienced in using Microsoft Teams to run workshops.
-
I have created processes and run workshops to handover to ICT or other teams as part of the BAU part of the project plan.
-
I have used Microsoft DevOps to create user stories and test cases.
-
I have been involved in a continuous improvement project to review existing processes throughout the business. The aim was to highlight inefficiencies and prioritise where improvements could be made using MoSCoW (Must, Should, Could, Would).
-
I worked closely with other teams, such as ICT, Business Change and also external suppliers such as developers and testers.
-
I implemented a project to adapt floor space to encourage more collaborative working, and worked with stakeholders at all levels. This involved running workshops and supporting the stakeholders through change.
2015 - 2017
Project Support Officer
-
My role was based in a Programme Management Office (PMO).
-
I ensured compliance with governance by completing stakeholder analysis, and keeping required project documents up to date.
-
I designed and implemented a process for early life support during the LAN upgrade in our London office. I worked with the IT Service Desk to gain their sign-off on the process and presented it to teams in Visio.
-
I presented information mapped in Visio for requirements workshops, presented test data for a business continuity project, along with publishing a report.
-
In the absence of a project manager, I ensured projects continued to run on track and worked closely with stakeholders to keep them informed.
2013 - 2015
Support Business Analyst
NHS
-
I was part of the Clinical Informatics Team. The role of the team is to provide specialist knowledge to bridge the gap between clinical care and IT.
-
I implemented a digital pens project for the teams of District Nurses at different locations who go out to patients. The pens are used to record/document their visits e.g. the times they were with the patient and any treatments/medication administered. The project involved providing training, supporting the nurses through this change, identifying issues and improvements, testing functionality, writing documentation, and liaising with other teams.
-
I also worked on a pilot of mobile devices for the district nurses. I was involved in designing clinical documents to be used on iPads, setting up the devices, attending project meetings, testing, liaising with other teams to resolve issues and training the nurses.
2013
Project Support Officer
NHS
-
My role involved the roll out of two NHS projects; the first project was to allow correspondence to be sent from a primary care trust to GP’s surgeries electronically (rather than by post).
-
The second project was for paper care records to be scanned in electronically (thus saving time and money). My role was to support the Project Manager by regression testing when bugs were fixed and assist with documentation e.g. user guides.
-
I was also involved in the implementation of new software at a large number of GPs and PCT sites. I demonstrated the software to the users and provided initial support.
2010 - 2013
Project Analyst
-
I produced the design document for a new online trading platform, along with the software testing plan and tests, logging change requests and managing issues.
-
Using agile methodology, I attended regular sprint meetings with managers and end users.
-
I also carried out user acceptance testing and regression testing alongside the users.
-
A major part of my role was working with software developers based in Russia, overcoming a language barrier to discuss problems (including prioritising issues), workarounds and possible solutions.
2004 - 2009
IT Support Analyst
-
I worked in the Application Support team as a Support Analyst. I provided proactive and reactive technical support i.e. for software and hardware issues.
-
My first role within the same organisation was on the IT Service Desk. This involved providing 1st line support, first time fixes where possible and logging calls for customers based in various locations.
-
The IT service was outsourced and offshored in 2009 resulting in a major reconstruction.
